JFK National Civics Bee Competition Winners

Three middle school students from area districts were selected to compete in the State Finals of the National Civics Bee Competition on May 30, 2025, in Albany, NY.

The National Civics Bee is an annual competition that inspires young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities.

From JFK Middle School, Noor Mohamed-Omar won third place in the New York State Finals!

In March of this year, the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce hosted the regional competition, a live two round event in which students answered multiple choice civics questions. Noor placed first in this competition to move on to the state finals.

We are so proud of Noor and congratulate her and her family on this well-deserved achievement! Noor's dedication and passion for civic engagement reflect the very best of our school and community.
