Albany News: Special Olympics 2024

Friday, June 7th was the 3rd annual Special Olympics at Albany Elementary! The Special Olympics is an inclusionary event hosted by the special education team at Albany Elementary School. The fun filled day kicked off with a parade through the halls of Albany and an opening ceremony introducing each athlete! There was relay races, a ring toss, bowling, and a dance party! The day concluded with closing ceremonies and a school-wide picnic. So proud of all of our athletes who worked so hard throughout the day, and earned those medals!
