District News: FREE Summer Meals Program

The Food Service Department at Utica City School District is proud to once again offer FREE summer meals for all children, 18 years of age and younger.

Lunches will be provided from July 1st until August 23rd. The district will have six meal sites open to the community Monday through Friday. (No meals on July 4th)

·       Jefferson Elementary School

·       Hughes Elementary School

·       Kernan Elementary School

·       Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School

·       Watson Williams Elementary School

·       Proctor High School

Each of the designated meal sites will be open from 11 am until 2 pm, providing a balanced and nutritious lunch. The daily lunch offerings will include a deli sandwich of the day or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, an assortment of fresh fruits, juice and fruit cups, a variety of fresh vegetables and assorted milk. The summer lunch menus are available on the district website under the Food Service Department’s tab. Allergen free meals are available upon request. During meal pick up the following fun activities will be going on!

The Utica Public Library will be bringing games, books and crafts from 11am-2pm at the following sites: July 11th at Jefferson, July 19th at Kernan, July 26th at MLK, August 2nd at Watson Williams, August 9th at Hughes, August 14th at Proctor

The Mobile Children’s Museum will be at: Kernan on July 15th from 12pm-2pm

The Utica Zoomobile will be at: Kernan on July 3rd and MLK on July 5th from 11am-2pm
